🌟 This Month’s Theme: How to Communicate Effectively with Others
Good communication is one of the most valuable skills we can develop—it strengthens friendships, supports teamwork, and helps us resolve conflicts in positive ways. This month, our focus groups and classroom activities will explore what it means to truly connect through communication. Students will have opportunities to practice listening, expressing themselves respectfully, and using positive body language in everyday interactions.
Key Skills We’re Highlighting:
- Active Listening: Paying full attention when others speak and showing interest through eye contact and gestures.
- Respectful Expression: Sharing ideas clearly and kindly, even when opinions differ.
- Positive Body Language: Smiling, maintaining an open posture, and using friendly facial expressions to help messages come across effectively.
These communication habits build confidence, empathy, and stronger relationship skills that last a lifetime!
| 💡 Family Tip: Set aside a few minutes each day for “two-minute talks.” During this time, each family member gets two full minutes to speak without interruptions, while everyone else practices active listening. This simple routine helps build patience, empathy, and stronger communication skills, which is important to find important foundations for healthy family relationships and emotional connection. |
